A contradiction within a contradiction

Unrepentant Rudolph Gets Life Sentence (Yahoo! News)

Oy... A victim of his attack said that "the full responsibility for this would have been the death sentence." I understand her anguish, but I can't wrap my mind the morality of wanting the death of someone who killed so that he may end death.

Vicious Cycle (noun): This case.

  • Nathan,
I concur, Jesus clearly loved the unloveable, and just as clearly wants us to model that forgiveness. Hard as it may seem, we are commanded to pray for those who abuse us.

  • I think it's even harder to pray for someone who abuses us while claiming to be one of us. The even scarier thing is that there's a fringe element that approves of or at least understands Rudolph.

I'm amazed at the atrocities that have occured in Jesus' name, and as well I must remember all the glorious things that have been and can continue to be done in His name.
