Back to church day - too late?

I cannot go into much detail right now, but I'm wondering if Back to Church Day, scheduled for August 27th, may be too late. Every week more news comes which works against the whole point of the whole effort.

Will these folks ever get it? Before it's too late?

Who said faith gave us all the answers? I think faith is trusting that we may never know all the answers, but only God does - we are to pray that we remain humble and in His will so that we can be an effective instrument, no matter what happens.

  • What I'd like to now MC, is how come I can never fall asleep on Saturdays and ALWAYS sleep in on Sundays?!?

This happens to me week in, week out.

Oh yes, I can fall asleep early any day of the week, just not Saturdays.

By the way, what do you think about Baptist universities going solo, as reported by the New York Times and blogged by HL?

  • Hey HL, finally just saw that you commented.

Baptist press has been reporting similar things in regards to what the NYT did. The best quote in the article was "The real underlying issue is that fundamentalism in the Southern Baptist form is incompatible with higher education. In fundamentalism, you have all the truths. In education, you're searching for truths."

Probably for the best, but lamentable still.
